Testudo's Tips!

  •  There are hundreds of free performances every year at the Clarice Smith Performing  Arts Center.
  •  If you love art or perform music but don't major in them, there's still the Art and  Learning Center or one of the many campus clubs to join.
  • The choices to study the arts can be a bit overwhelming. Talk to students and teachers to determine the best path for your future.

CHAPTER SUMMARY:

Between classes, clubs, majors and performances, Terps really do have talent. At Maryland, you can shine through art, music, dance or theatre classes, or display your talents on stage or in a gallery. There are so many ways for you to hone your skills or develop new ones you didn’t know existed.

In this iBook chapter, you'll more about both the academic and extracurricular sides of the arts. Learn how to apply to the School of Music, how to get involved in performances, and what clubs to join.
